I dropped by the location for this year's Artomatic yesterday to get familiar with its location and some details on the stage and sound system. They hadn't actually built the stages yet but I talked to Mac, their music guy, and he told me the final system would include:
His idea is that most musicians will just be able to "show up and plug in".
Here are some pictures of the building it's in and the rooms. The building is easy to find, just look for the large curly sculpture. To get to the loading dock go past the building, take your first right that isn't a parking garage and circle around. They have it marked with small yellow signs.
The stages themselves are identical in size and kind of oddly shaped. The Electric stage is red, the Cabaret stage is green. There will be bars in both rooms. Not sure how the acoustics will be -- never played an office before...
